The Great God Google
and why we must not bow down
Use AdSense Alternatives
Thankfully I am not the only one that feels that way,and finally it seems as if there is a real shift in market share happening.Bing, the long awaited and much anticipated new Search engine from MicroSoft,as been making giant inroads into Google’s market share.
As reported by Doug Caverly Bing is gaining on both Google and Yahoo.Bing search, for those who may not yet be aware of it,I urge you to try it and to replace your Google search on your IE browser with Bing
Different data-tracking firms almost always report different statistics, and this has led to a fair number of confusing did-it-or-didn’t-it-gain-share situations. Bing seems to be solidly in the black, however, as new StatCounter info supports the idea that the new engine is doing well.
Doubters may remain – and in the long-term, may or may not win the argument – but comScore and Hitwise (and StatCounter, for that matter) had already suggested that Bing’s gaining on Google and Yahoo. The latest report adds a nice bar graph to the evidence pile.
As you can see, it seems that Google’s consistently losing share (0.59 percent between April and June). Yahoo’s down from its April levels, too (0.23 percent). In fact, of the top three search engines, only Microsoft’s offering cornered more market share in the last couple of months.
And although a rise of 1.02 percent doesn’t sound like a lot, if you look at the figure with respect to Microsoft’s starting point of 7.21 percent, it represents an increase of 14.1 percent.
Data-tracking firms that used to be on Microsoft’s bad side are liable to get invited to corporate parties if these sorts of trends continue.
All of this is wonderful news to those of us who have been victims of Google’s monopoly.A perfect example of how Google is NOT a fair reported can be found simply by searching the topic AdSense Alternatives.
The only true reporter of facts in this category -that is updated at least,is of course MrAdVenture (pronounced Mr Ad Venture for those confusing him with the blog writer MrAdventure) AdSense Alternatives.
Obviously Google would not care for this person, but would they go so far as to corrupt their own search results? If you search Yahoo,Bing ,7Search,and many of the smaller less known Search Engines;depending where you live you will find him ranked Number 1 to 7.Naturally these listings may be different the day you read this, but as of publication in July of 2009 they hold true.
Now try that same search on Google, and all you find are out of date reports and long lists, until finally on page 3 or 4 you will find the one the rest of the world clearly believes should be in the top 10,if indeed not the top result. To further supplement my contention that they love to show out of date and poor results on this topics, the do have on the 1st page,MrAdVenture’s old and clearly marked out of date,no longer updated Real AdSense Alternatives .The one they have as number one was out of date 4 years ago.
